AppvSequencer
The AppVSequencer to convert Win32 applications into virtual packages for deployment to user devices. User devices must be running the App-V client to allow users to interact with virtual applications.
The App-V Sequencer is included in the Windows 10 Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK).
Note:
The computer that will run the sequencer must not have the App-V client enabled. As a best practice, choose a computer with the same hardware and software configurations as the computers that will run the virtual applications. The sequencing process is resource-intensive, so make sure the computer that will run the Sequencer has plenty of memory, a fast processor, and a fast hard drive.
Install App-V Sequencer
As mentioned above we want to Install Windows 10 Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK). Below are the steps to do the same.
You can download Windows ADK from this link.
Once you go to the Like you will find the below link which will downloads the file.
The file will be an executable format.
Based on the download location it will be saved. Double click on the file which has been downloaded.
The Installation wizard will apper. Select Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment kit – Windows 10 to this computer so that the installation takes place on the local computer. Click Next
Wizard will ask for send the Anonymous usage data to Microsoft, by default it will be Yes. Based on your requirement you can select that. Click Next
It will ask for License Agreement, Accept it.
Select the futures you want to Install. For us the Important for this module is Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Sequencer select them and Click on Install
The wizard will start installing the Features which you have selected.
Once its finished it will ask to launch the Start Guide. Based on you requirement you can check it or unchecked it. Click on Close
Once you have Installed Windows ADK, you should Reboot that Box. So that you can use the below cmdlet in the powershell.
